  • I purchased a home in Oak Brook in July of 2015. John was amazing! He patiently provided us with multiple options, accommodated our hectic work schedules, and provided an honest perspective about any given piece of property. He really wanted us to find the best home for our needs and our budget, and made every effort toward this on his end. In terms of the closing, John advocated for us every step of the way, and continued to do so even after all the paperwork was completed and the keys were in hand! Unfortunately, the seller reneged on several items in the contract, but John insisted that those costs should not be borne by us; he made arrangements with the seller's agent to split the cost of the repairs. John ensured that the repairs were completed in a timely manner, coordinating with us and the workers for weeks after we moved into our home. Needless to say, John got us a great price on our home and his presence gave us confidence that we would reach the finish line.   • We worked with Romanelli & Associates to find our first family home. Eternal renters, and city people, we were very excited about the prospect of more space in the suburbs. The Romanelli Team listened to what we needed and wanted in a home and worked hard to show us many different options within our areas of interest. They also provided us with very helpful information about the neighborhoods we were looking in (where to live for the best schools, what part of the towns are most desirable for growing families, etc.). They were patient with us, as we were coming from the city for showings, on top of traffic and our then 7 month old daughter. They were always available and incredibly responsive to us, answering all of our questions along the way, as we were first time homebuyers. Once we saw the home we ultimately purchased, we were very hopeful that they could find a way to make it ours. They came through for us, and worked very hard throughout negotiations, keeping us updated on the latest from the sellers' agent. We closed on our home in February! On moving day, they stopped by with a pizza and champagne, which was amazing because it had been an incredibly long day and we'd just put our daughter down for the night, hoping she'd sleep well in her new home.
